Spelling Out A Chord

I wrote out Bmi+7 and it's in red not black. Is this the wrong spelling for a B minor with a major 7th?

I'd personally write it as Bmmaj7 or perhaps Bm(maj7). Bmi+7 could be ambiguous, IMHO.

Of course, if you opt for Legacy Chord input then you can write it however you wish!

What is a legacy chord imput?

It's an option under File--?Preferences-->Other which allows you to write practically any chordsymbol you like - even if it's wrong/'non-standard'. :D :D :D
