When I compose on my Synthesizer (M-Audio ProKeys Sono 88) it can sound higher or lower and not in the right pitch. It makes me crazy and disturbs my work. It never happened before. When I make an audio file of my score, it also does that. The Piccolo, for instant, sounded a minor second higher. What happened?

Check the position of any pitch wheels on your keyboard. They can affect playback without you realising it.

No problem with the wheels. I checked the keyboard. Turned it off and on. Didn't help.
Do you think installing the program again can help?

One idea would be to make sure you have the latest drivers for your synth.

Issues like this are rarely resolved by reinstalling Sib. You could try turning your computer off and on again. Without the actual file there's no way we can do anything but guess.

I have a similar problem: when I play back, pitch gets really distorted; it's driving me nuts. Is it possible some MIDI information got sent to my Mac, that I don't see?
I tried to attach the .sib file and got the msg "invalid file extension", wtf?
thanks,
John

You can't attach sib files here. Please use email (mike@mike-lyons.co.uk)
