Does anyone know if there's a way to recover files auto deleted from Backup?

If you're lucky the files may still be in your backups folder, given by the Saving and Exporting page of File > Preferences.

If you mean files deleted from the Backup folder when your backups limit is reached you may have to use a 3rd party file restore utility (if there isn't one built in to your mac) and even then the files may not be recoverable. The default limit for automatic backups is 200 (unless you've changed that), after that your operating system takes over in terms of file deletion.

Just a thought for future reference. Sib files, unless you bloat them by saving internal versions, are tiny. Rarely more than a couple of hundred k. Even for very long works. Increase your saved backups to 1000 or more files (I've actually got mine set to 30000). I doubt you'll actually miss the space taken up and you'll effectively never need to worry about losing a file.
