Reducing unplayed bars in Parts

Post by Diceman » Tue Nov 26, 2019 2:40 pm

If there is a large number of bars in a part where an instrument is not playing, can it be shown as just a number of bars rather than with all the repeats, 1st time and 2nd time endings etc?
It would make for a cleaner part.

If you are looking at the full score (sibelius defaults to this) then bars are usually NOT collected into multirests. however, if you press w you should see the rests made into multirests. To nake this happen in the score, press [ctrl/cmd][shift]m.
